Marco Polo Pet Monitoring Tracking and Locating System The product works well enough for me, but the arrow does not point in the direction of the dog. If the dog behind objects such as a building or brush the signal strength is reduced and makes it look like the dog is further away than the reality. It is intended to as far away as 2 miles to work, but the signal shows 50 %, if the dog only 150 meters away on flat ground is the completely open marco polo pet monitoring.
I have the Marco Polo-System to the express purpose of being, my dogs in the woods you can find on our walks should differ. I have it for this purpose, but thanks be to God, I had not really look for a lost dog. I don't use the monitor part of the system, because my dogs in a fenced yard as home.
What I like & would like improved are somewhat the same, and are addressed in the points below.
1. I like the smaller size of the part beyond the dogs collars. However, it would be just over greater distances, I would like it even smaller. However my 30 # dogs have no problems with the size or the weight of the IT.
2. I like the fact that the system does not depend on GPS. There are no monthly fees, especially since I only use it sporadically, but I think that it would be the best of both worlds, if somehow a GPS-component could be integrated, gave me the opportunity, the dog on the card on my cell phone in addition to the handheld. But since the locations where I am going, not always reliable GPS reception, I chose the Marco Polo where the signal only between transmitter and receiver is communicating. In addition, if a GPS-product, I would like one option per use, no monthly fee.
3. I think the handheld part of the system to be sufficient. Much smaller and I could not read it. The display is a major challenge for aging Eyes: }, but, as I the beep part of the program. Three beeps and I am close! A serious design is that there is no hole in the handle so that it around the neck lanyard or Karabiner-Clip , or on a belt loop can be backed up. It is small enough to be in my backpack, but not easily accessible from there.
(4) The distance the device can achieve is reasonable. The product I used before Marco Polo only some shipyards had a number of some. This gives you greater range, however, this depends on what the obstacles could be in the way.
5. Customer service has been exemplary. Questions were answered promptly, and the company has to ensure that I am a satisfied customer back bent.
The Tracker is easy to use straight from the box and comes with very good instructions. An important section of the owner's manual is the section on the persecution of tips. I also had good luck with the customer service, because I ran into things I had questions about. Take out and play with him, so that they know what it is like a little, to track before you in real life (trying a lost pet) would have to do. Children are especially try Blunt by hiding the collar, which is really good.
I like the size of the unit collar; my dogs are between 30 and 40 lbs and it is not too big or too hard for you. You will fit on all collar-had it not to a buckle type collar, you can style it to a Martingal collar, as well as slides. I have tried it on a Sicherheitshalsband, the Tezlab a with an elastic insert and it works well on that (if you leave a collar on are suspicious). The handheld device is small and the antennas "doors" folding in when not in use and the protection of the screen.

Marco Polo Pet Monitoring Tracking and Locating System I run a rescue operation of dog and use the system of Marco Polo for about a year now. It is a system of invaluble first for me because she is the capacity of an alarm. Having several dogs, many of whom are "nutrunners" it is a real blessing to have an acurate system immediately the alarm when it was left my Court or the home. The possibility to define the distance at which the alarm starts ringing is easy, but we just keep at the level closest to that we have an immediate alarm if a dog was dragging out. The fact that you can use multiple trackers to clamp to a base unit, numbering of the basis exactly what collar is alarming, is wonderful.
The monitoring unit takes a little study to get used if you are not super nerd tilted, but once you learn quickly, it is easy to enter the unit and to fetch. I live in a region which is hilly with many canyons and green spaces and of previous units made by other companies did not allow the possibility of obtaining a good coverage, and we discovered the hard way that these other units has lost the life of the battery in a day or two and were then unnecessary to continue the monitoring. Marco Polo is going to go then followed up for long periods of time with no recharging necessary. This product is highly recommended by me and as a professional for the pet animal, I have found that it is a very high quality product which gives us invaluble peace of mind.
